How We Pick Products

Our goal is simple: recommend products we'd confidently buy for our own homes and families. Here's how we get there.

1. We start with what matters to you

Before looking at any product, we work out what actually makes a difference for the people using it — for example heat-up time and milk frothing for an espresso machine, or real suction and runtime for a cordless vacuum — rather than marketing specs.

2. We research widely

We compare specifications, read manufacturer documentation, and study long-term feedback from verified owners to spot durability issues and common complaints that don't show up in the first week.

3. We test hands-on where we can

When a product has been tested by our team, we say so and share our own photos and observations. When a recommendation is based on research rather than our own hands-on use, we make that clear too.

4. We keep guides up to date

Products get discontinued, prices change and new models launch. Each guide shows when it was last updated, and we revisit our picks regularly — especially before big shopping events like Black Friday.

5. Our independence

Brands cannot pay to be featured or to influence our rankings. We earn affiliate commissions on some purchases, but that never determines what we recommend. Read our affiliate disclosure.
